I was a Junior Achievement Advisor for many years. There were three things that I advocated that every student should know…                 How to balance a checking account                 How to apply for a job                 How to play chess or checkers or cards (think about it). However, there is one more important—no, critical—thing that both high school and college students should know about—how to obtain credit and maintain a good credit score. These kids are our next generation of home buyers!  I was talking with a mortgage girlfriend the other day who has been teaching Credit Education classes to…
Are you making yourself crazy with all the compliance rules about working/paying to help real estate agents market themselves? At the recent Mortgage Girlfriends Mastermind Retreat, Tammy Butler talked about the different investigations and fines being levied by the CFBP when it comes to paying real estate agents’ marketing. Her suggestion? Start marketing to consumers! You get the leads.  You refer the leads. To repair skin damage due to accidents or disease (i.e., cancer, etc.).   2. To feel better about your appearance.  The cost?  It starts at $8,000.  Then I started thinking.  There are other ways to feel better—that cost a whole lot less than eight grand—especially when it comes to giving a facelift to your business!  Office Facelift…
So, you are in a meeting. You make what you think is an awesome suggestion. Your manager (or even those in the meeting) tells you it will never work.  They roll their eyes. Cross their arms. You tell yourself you’ll never make another suggestion (at least in a meeting format). Did you know that “negative comments” have more power over you than positive ones?  And the experts claim that it takes three positive comments to negate one negative one?  So, what does that mean to you when talking with coworkers?  For every negative comment that you make about their work. …
